Description

Our Japan office is looking to hire a versatile Sr Account Manager! As an Account Manager at .Monks Tokyo, you have solid knowledge of the Digital Creative industry and an affinity with commercial landing pages, banners, video & still assets, film projects, television commercials, and digital content. You are someone who knows how to steward business relationships at the intersection of creativity and technology.

What you’ll do
  • Your role is to make sure our clients are completely satisfied, our Inhouse teams of Monks knows what to do and we deliver great projects.
  • You understand Video & Still production, landing pages, digital content creation, and e-Commerce, but if the conversation with the client becomes too substantive, you know it is time to invite the technical experts.
  • You are results-driven and you enjoy building sustainable partnerships.
  • You will help clients by immersing yourself in their industry and you will link the insights to your in-depth knowledge of platforms, content creation, and e-Commerce.
  • You'll help review and define the scope for each project, ensuring proposals meet the client's brief, and business objectives, above anything else.
  • You actively track project progress, maintaining full visibility on milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables — ensuring the team stays aligned and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • You keep a close eye on budget, hours, and scope, proactively flagging risks or changes to maintain financial and operational accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience you already have:

  • You have 5+ years of client-facing experience in digital advertising or creative production and understand what it takes to deliver large, multi-channel digital projects.
  • You quickly grasp business objectives and can define what success looks like from day one.
  • You’re conceptually strong with a passion for digital platforms and content creation.
  • You manage multiple priorities with ease — maintaining clear documentation, tracking milestones, and ensuring smooth delivery.
  •  You’re proactive in identifying risks and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • You stay curious about new technologies and understand them well enough to scope, quote and plan accurately.
  • You think in partnerships, not one-off projects.
  • You can create compelling decks and shape proposals from both technical and commercial angles.
  • Your presentation skills allow you to represent the team confidently to clients and partners.
  • You communicate fluently in English and Japanese.
  • Above all, you’re collaborative, positive, and inspire teams to deliver great work.
