As Marqeta’s Senior Account Manager, you will partner with a cross functional team and manage a portfolio of customers to drive growth and retention. You will bring a strong track record of growth and deep relationship building experience to provide exceptional client service, uncover revenue generating opportunities (upsell, cross-sell, etc) and viable solutions to these key customers. You proactively uncover the business needs of your customers to understand how our product offerings can grow their business.

While this role will focus on growing revenue by identifying new expansion and cross-sell opportunities, other key responsibilities include:

- Ensure partnership and programs are running smoothly and successfully.
- Add strategic value to the team by identifying opportunities to drive business and process improvements.
- Develop and deliver high-impact presentations (QBRs, Executive Briefing Decks, etc.).
- Perform in-depth analysis to identify macro, business, technology, and pipeline trends for key customers.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of Account Management experience in the Payments industry, ideally selling complex, technology platform solutions.
- 3+ years of experience growing and scaling accounts and building relationships with key decision makers.
- 3+ years of experience with the following Sales Tech stack: Salesforce, Looker, Gong, and Jira.
- Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrix environment, gaining buy-in at multiple levels across the organization.
- Positive attitude, team player, adaptable, resourceful, and self-starter who is able operate both collaboratively and independently.
- Technical aptitude with demonstrated ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in a straightforward manner.
- FinTech Guru: You already have deep knowledge of disruption in the financial services industry or possess a strong desire to learn the ropes while working with the top innovators in the space.
- Curious Questioner: Your passion for knowledge and learning drives you to constantly dig deeper to understand your customers, Marqeta, our technology, and the industry in general.
- Thoughtful Challenger: As a trusted partner leading with insights, you push yourself, the team, and your customers to think outside of the box and find creative solutions to strategic challenges.

Compensation and Benefits in Marqeta’s Revenue Organization
Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:
- National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
- Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
- Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

Within our Revenue organization at Marqeta, On Target Earnings (OTE) is composed of a mix between annual salary and variable compensation, which is earned based on your individual performance and that of your immediate team. The split is 70/30.
When determining an OTE figure we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire OTE range for this position is:
- National: $124,875 - $166,500
- Premium: $131,813 - $175,750
- Premium Plus: $138,750 - $185,000
