Senior Account Manager, Investment Specialist

The Senior Account Manager, Investment Specialist drives traditional & alternative product conversations, placements, discretionary allocations, and servicing discussions across a broad client segment of professional buyers. As a subject matter expert in strategic relations, this job seeks out co-product build opportunities working with sponsor firm and the organization's global product management team.


Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Expected to drive public and private product conversations and secure placements across a broad client segment of professional buyers

  • Possess excellent knowledge of prioritized Nuveen products and capabilities inclusive of alternatives

  • Encourages team continuity and engagement while advocating broader firm priorities

  • Primary points of engagement with manager research and firm discretionary teams with a focus on building high quality, sustainable relationships

  • Identification of near-term opportunities related to sponsor’s lineup of investment options

  • Responsible for seeking out co-product build opportunities working with sponsor firm and Nuveen Product Management

  • Coordinates with Head of Investment Specialists Team Head on needed affiliate level interactions/product focuses

  • Potential for personnel management responsibilities over time

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred

FINRA Registrations

  • SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63

Physical Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree ; business or finance major preferred; at least 10 years of industry experience preferred
  • CFA, CAIA and/or MBA preferred
  • Self starter with ability to organize & execute upon competing priorities to meet goals and objectives
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure while fostering a team environment
  • Professional demeanor with high degree of service orientation
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with strong interest in the capital markets; willingness to learn new strategies
  • Strong organizational capabilities
  • Willingness to travel extensively at times (potentially more than 3 days per week); 5-7 years of account management experience preferred
  • FINRA Series 7/66 required within 6 months of employment

Base Pay Range: $135,000/yr - $228,700/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
