Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join our growing team in Roseland, NJ!
The Senior Account Manager will provide commercial lines service and support to clients and production staff, by assisting, maintaining, and expanding assigned accounts.
How You Will Contribute:
Process daily mail, including faxes and e-mail, for assigned accounts.
Answer and process all telephone requests for assigned accounts.
Maintain account files in an orderly sequence according to established procedures.
Secure Insurance Coverage Review checklist on New and Renewal accounts over $2,500 in revenue.
Enter all required data into system to maintain current file data on assigned accounts.
Review commercial applications, renewal requests and endorsements for adherence to underwriting authority and guidelines as established by the company’s carriers.
Handle renewal marketing of accounts.
Attend carrier and industry meetings and seminars.
Prepare and process binders of insurance, policies, and endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, and cancellations as defined in the company procedures manual.
May take claim calls and report to carriers as defined in the company procedures.
Secure loss runs and experience modification worksheets on assigned accounts.
Maintain suspense or follow-up system for correspondence/requests.
Process premium finance agreements as needed.
Prepare billings and/or invoices on a timely basis.
Assist client through preparation of Excel spreadsheets and premium breakdowns.
Assist in the collection of premiums and audits as defined in the procedure’s manual.
Licenses and Certifications:
A valid New Jersey Producer license in Property & Casualty (as well as any other required states and/or authorities to service the assigned book of business) must be maintained in good standing or be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
High School Diploma
A college degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification. (Preferred)
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
Proficient knowledge of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machines, etc.)
7+ years of professional experience within the insurance industry’s account management, sales or a related field.
Pay Range
$52.88 - $52.88 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
