Senior Account Executive

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Account Executive to join Marsh. Working within the FINPRO team, you will be responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development opportunities, and expanding and diversifying the mix of Marsh products and services the client holds.

We will count on you to:

  • Maintain and grow personal relationships and a book of business, and contribute to team sales targets
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of your accounts and coinciding business needs, as well as core team accounts to maintain a comfortable handle on the portfolio at large
  • Utilise risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance marketplace to review clients’ exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for client needs
  • Execute renewal/placement strategies in conjunction with the Placement, Advisory Leader and Client Executive and in accordance with client instructions
  • Assist in presentations to prospective clients and develop/contribute to innovative solutions to gain new clients and projects
  • Identify expansion opportunities for personal and team accounts, leveraging an understanding of internal service and product offerings, market trends and developments
  • Attend and participate in industry events and conferences and client functions to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company and its product offerings and solutions

We would like you to have:

  • 3+ years’ experience within a commercial insurance environment, preferably with experience in professional indemnity insurance
  • Strong business acumen including a well-rounded knowledge of general business function, finance and issues
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise work, multi-task and consistently meet deadlines

What makes you stand out?

  • 3+ plus years’ experience within Insurance broking
  • A sound understanding of business and organisational risk management
  • Prior experience managing a portfolio of complex accounts
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of insurance and strategic client engagement
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Tier 1 FSRA Compliance is required and a tertiary qualification will be highly regarded but is not essential
