The Role
This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape the future of SAP development at the Bega Group. As the Senior ABAP Developer, you will play a critical part in delivering high‑quality solutions, supporting business‑critical applications, and enabling continuous improvement across the enterprise. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Integration Specialists and wider business stakeholders to design, develop and optimise SAP functionality.
With a strong pipeline of projects and BAU work, this role gives you the chance to influence system design, uplift development standards, solve complex technical problems, and contribute to Bega’s ongoing digital and process transformation.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and deploy high‑quality ABAP solutions across reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, conversions and workflows, ensuring code is efficient, secure and aligned with SAP development standards.
Provide BAU support, including troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, bug fixes and resolving complex technical issues logged through Freshservice.
Enhance and maintain existing SAP applications across the SD, MM, and FI modules, including performance tuning, documentation, and optimisation of existing programs.
Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, Integration Specialists, Infrastructure and Security teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and align with system architecture.
Support project delivery, including SAP upgrades, patching, new implementations and testing efforts, while maintaining accurate technical specifications and documentation.
About You
At least years of hands‑on ABAP development experience across SD, MM and FI modules, with strong capability in enhancements, custom object development, debugging and performance tuning.
Skilled in IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs and integrations with external systems, with the ability to handle complex technical issues across an integrated SAP landscape.
Comfortable working across both BAU and project environments, including analysing problems, proposing solutions and delivering stable, scalable code.
Clear communicator and the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Experience with Fiori/UI5, OData and CDS Views is highly desirable, along with exposure to Agile/Scrum ways of working.
