Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC  

Design and modify layouts for semiconductor manufacturing facilities, including plant, office, and production equipment. Review of Design drawings and specifications for completeness and accuracy. Plan and oversee semiconductor tool installations and R&D facility applications. Review of equipment configuration and distribution routing of electrical systems in Navisworks 3D model relative to functionality, egress, ease of maintenance requirements, constructability, alignment with One-Line Diagrams, etc. Validation of engineering calculations. Ensure optimal use of space and equipment while maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Prepare bid documents and construction contracts for facility modifications and acquisitions. Develop detailed cost estimates for design changes, covering equipment, labor, materials, and installation. Develop detailed cost models for capital projects, including BOMs, labor rates, and contingency planning. Manage construction schedules, contractor coordination, and field verification against IFC drawings. Conduct punch-list inspections, redlines, and as-built documentation reviews. Conduct site inspections to verify construction and installation align with specifications, drawings, and timelines. Establish engineering criteria and performance specifications to meet unique operational needs and building/safety codes. Develop performance specifications for facility systems and tool interfaces based on operational requirements. Write and review design criteria documents (DCDs), basis of design (BOD), and commissioning plans. Interface with process engineering, tool owners, and external vendors to align facility readiness with production timelines. Prepare technical reports, scopes of work (SOW), and engineering change notices (ECNs). Familiar with building codes (IBC), fire codes (NFPA), and environmental regulations (EPA, local AHJ). Application of EHS standards in high-tech manufacturing environments, including chemical handling and ventilation requirements.

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field and 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a Semiconductor Engineer-related occupation. Position requires:

1. CAD-based layout design, ETAP, SKM power tools, EIDA, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Navisworks;

2. Utility integration for process tools, including gas, chemical, vacuum, exhaust, power, and water systems;

3. HVAC, electrical distribution, and mechanical systems to semiconductor environments;

4. Semiconductor equipment installation protocols, including OEM specifications and facility interface requirements;

5. SEMI standards, including S2, S8, S14 and cleanroom classifications (ISO 14644);

6. Using tools, including RSMeans, SAP, or custom Excel models for cost forecasting and tracking.
