Job Summary

To perform duties as assigned to support the function of the Security Department; including project management, implementation and maintenance of security systems.

SCHEDULE

Full time: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully

  • Manage the setup and configuration of security system devices. (Access Control systems, Surveillance Camera systems, and alarm systems)
  • Daily administration including monitoring and responding to device issues. Including device firmware updates and maintenance
  • Assist with device and application upgrades for the Surveillance, Access Control, and alarm systems
  • Assist with infrastructure incidents and requests regarding the security systems
  • Help provide technical documentation about the configuration of the security system environment
  • Communicate and assist internal customers through a variety of communication channels
  • Oversees project development and project management of security design and security system installation
  • Ability to manage several projects at a time, including working with outside vendors, construction team members, and other project stake holders
  • Oversees the bid process for security projects
  • Ensures security products and costs are within MACU expectations and budget guidelines
  • Works with other departments in the design and building of new and existing MACU properties
  • Works with vendors to maintain working knowledge of industry innovations, practices and trends
  • Facilitates in resolving and analyzing issues to ensure quality service
  • Some overnight travel will be required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Experience

4+ years of relevant experience in technical support, installation/service of security systems, and/or in an IT/IS role

Previous experience in the financial services industry and/or Security Systems industry preferred

Education

Four-year college degree in business, IT, cybersecurity or similar technical field or 2 additional years combined experience in a security related setting.

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations

Ability to obtain certifications in security programs; including March Networks, Axis, and DMP

Responsibilities

  • Create and complete tickets within ServiceNow
  • Maintain and troubleshoot surveillance systems, access control and alarm systems
  • Install, program and maintain security systems and programs
  • Ability to manage multiple MACU projects at a time

Security System Knowledge

  • DMP Alarm and Access Control Products
  • March Network DVR/NVR products
  • IP and Analog camera, and communications products
  • Axis, March, OnCam and similar IP camera systems

Computer/Office Equipment Skills

  • General knowledge of computer networking protocols, computer hardware, and software configuration.
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Teams
  • Familiar with Smartsheet for project tracking and inventory management
  • Familiar with a ticketing system used for tracking service and requests.

Language Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results, and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations
  • Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization
