Salary Range: $143913 - $187093 Per Year

Job Summary: You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST of NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Major Duties:

  • You will provide comprehensive security support, guidance, and assistance to Program Managers, as well as various government and industry participants, ensuring all operations align with required security standards.
  • You will analyze ongoing programs to thoroughly assess and evaluate personnel, physical, administrative, information, and industrial security practices, identifying potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
  • You will implement new, effective procedures to proactively resolve systemic security issues and swiftly address any operational problems or breaches as they arise.
  • You will establish robust security policies and provide clear, actionable guidance concerning personnel security clearances, strict document control measures, and secure visitor access protocols.
  • You will administer vital security indoctrination and termination briefings, while expertly advising personnel on the proper, compliant safeguarding and handling of all classified information.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing security support, guidance, and assistance to Program Managers and government/industry participants. Analyzing programs to assess personnel, physical, administrative, information, and industrial security practices. Implementing new procedures to resolve systemic security issues and problems as they arise. Establishing and providing guidance on security policies for personnel clearance, document control, and visitor access. Administering security indoctrination and termination briefings and advising on the proper safeguarding of classified information.
