The Security Service Support Technician is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with the installation, service, inspection, and maintenance of security and low-voltage systems including intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance (CCTV). This role supports senior technicians and field teams while learning company standards, safety procedures, system functionality, and customer service expectations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist senior technicians with service, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.
Support installation and testing of new and existing security system components
Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
Help perform system inspections and basic functional testing.
Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, materials used, and job site conditions.
Follow all company safety procedures, customer site requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and proper working condition.
Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Travel to job sites as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
No minimum experience necessary.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical systems.
Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
Ability to work effectively in team environments.
Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
Use of hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
