Security Officer

What is this role? 

As a Security Officer for Cirkul, you will be an essential part of ensuring the safety and security of Cirkul’s people, operations, and reputation. As a uniformed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in protecting the business, while maintaining a safe and secure environment that is compliant with GMP standards. You will execute the day-to-day security functions as part of the 24/7 Security Operations team across multiple Cirkul locations.

Monday-Friday: 6pm to 2:30pm

  • Take a proactive approach to becoming a subject-matter expert on all security policies and procedures to respond quickly, mitigating risks, and minimizing damage or harm to individuals or property.
  • Ensuring safety and security of personnel and facilities through situational awareness, physical patrols, checking security technology measures, alarms, fences, gates, or other barriers throughout Cirkul property, to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Routinely utilize security technologies, such as CCTV, to mitigate potential security incidents.
• Making Decisions: 
  • Utilize critical thinking to mitigate potential and actual threats or vulnerabilities by identifying, evaluating, and applying appropriate situational responses, while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Controls access by monitoring identification and validating credentials of individuals, employees, and vendors entering Cirkul facilities.
  • Conducting searches as outlined in the standard operating procedures.

  • Reports and manages security incidents as directed by Cirkul’s Security Leadership team.

What background should you have? 

• 2+ years of experience in physical security, military, or law enforcement
• Possess FL D License or ability to attain a license within weeks of hiring.
• Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends, should it be necessary to properly manage a crisis or emergency event.
• Valid driver’s license, ability, and willingness to occasionally travel short distances between facilities due to operational need.
• Comfortable with temperatures that can vary between 60°F and 90°F in some parts of the warehouse.
• Ability to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours a day and be able to walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach during shifts.
• Willing to work hard, stay until the job is complete, and demonstrate resilience and sound judgment.
• Proficient in use of computers and various computer programs (Microsoft office, word, excel).
• Ability to adhere to and uphold strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards.
