Job Description Summary

This position is predominantly responsible for the monitoring and control of employee access into Controlled Substances areas at the Fenton manufacturing facility to include manufacturing, packaging areas, clothes change facilities, as well as any other areas that potentially afford access to Controlled Substance Areas.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prevent diversion as stated in Title 21 of the Code of Federal Regulations
  • Coordinate security alarm repairs
  • Arrange and escort controlled substance trash
  • Rotate from building to building to assist the other monitors
  • Primary contact for alarms during shutdown periods
  • Maintain door list and entry records for buildings
  • Maintain alarm system daily and report problems
  • Conduct monthly alarm tests
  • Assist supervisors and facilitators as needed
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to good housekeeping practices
  • Ensure active participation in the site’s safety program
  • Other duties as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in Security experience a plus.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Organizational Skills, Works well with others
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Proficient in basic mathematics
  • Excellent record keeping and organizational skills

Other Skills:

  • Good Teamwork skills
  • Must be dependable and have an excellent attendance record
  • Must be flexible about work hours/schedule
  • Ability to be on call and work overtime as needed

RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS:

This position reports to the Plant Manager. This position requires interaction with many layers of management and non-management personnel at the plant.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position works primary in and office type environment.  Use of a computer and phone is daily.
