JOB DESCRIPTION:
YOUR ROLE AS A:
Security Manager (Compliance and Standards)
WHAT YOU’LL CHAMPION:
Working with and through operational and enforcement teams to reduce security risk, in delivering effective compliance.
Acts as a point of contact for regulators and customers related security quality issues. Functional Duties
Specifies and manages security policies and compliance with security legislation, regulation and Group requirements.
Keeps abreast of existing and new legislation and ensures compliance to federal, state and local requirements to include anticipation of future legislation.
Respond to quality issues, understanding compliance drivers and formulating resolutions.
Organise appropriate risk reporting (compliance risks, systemic issues and management metrics), preparing management reports and escalating issues where appropriate.
Responsible for the full range of selection, training, evaluation, counselling and recommendations.
Manages security awareness / situational awareness and formal security training for security staff both locally & internationally.
Identifies potential security concerns, collecting and analysing data on trends and patterns, reviewing security inspection reports and formulating alternatives to address trends and concerns.
Provide assessments of threats / risk vulnerabilities in response to emergencies / crisis situations / new destinations and appointment of security contractors.
Maintain close liaison with local and international agencies in the interest of enhancing security.
Represent the company in the airport security committee as well as national security committee meetings.
Develop annual plan and budget developments for sub-department to align with department-wide’s strategy including ensure budget adherence to the approved budget.
Lead SOPs development and amendment to ensure all SOPs align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Track operating progress and result against annual plan and KPIs to ensure targets are met; develop action plans as needed.
Lead the identification of innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsible to review and update the Airlines Security Programme to meet any regulatory changes.
Plan, manage and maintain all security training internal / external.
Provide relevant security threat / risk assessments for mitigation actions to be carried out by all stakeholders.
Has authority to make decisions related to Security Compliance matters after consulting the Group Head of Security.
