Job Summary: This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a member of the entry control vehicle inspection team which conducts private and commercial vehicle inspections.
  • You will independently performs installation access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirements as a guide to assess determination for a wide range of unique circumstances.
  • You will direct vehicles and pedestrian traffic during periods of emergency or increased traffic.
  • You will serve as a member of the installation’s overall security response capability during actual or simulated incidents.
  • You will be responsible for performing and resolving a full range of both standard procedural and non-recurring/unusual visitor access assignments.
  • You will inspect private and commercial vehicles to determine if safe to enter installation.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Authenticating identification for access to restricted areas; 2) Regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic to maintain traffic flow and security operations; 3) Granting or denying personnel access into restricted areas; and 4) Performing private and commercial vehicle inspections and package inspections following prescribed procedures to ensure only authorized property is brought into or removed from facilities.
