We are currently looking to hire a Security Driver & RST Team Lead to join our team embedded with our client in Washington, DC! This position requires working onsite with our client in Washington, DC.

*This role follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional on-call availability may be required after hours and on weekends, as needed.

**This is an armed position. Candidates must currently possess, maintain, or be able to obtain a valid concealed carry firearm permit and legally carry a firearm in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Team Lead (Armed) is responsible for overseeing daily security driver operations and providing hands-on leadership across the program. This unarmed role manages a team of four Security Drivers, coordinating their deployment, schedules, and assignments while ensuring seamless service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.

This position combines program oversight, personnel management, client coordination, residential security support, and operational execution to ensure protective coverage, service readiness, and high performance standards. The Team Lead serves as the primary liaison between the security team and client personnel, ensuring clear communication, efficient resource allocation, and consistent execution of security protocols.

The ideal candidate is an experienced security professional who is comfortable managing personnel, coordinating logistics, and supporting residential security operations when needed. This position requires discretion, strong judgment, leadership capability, and the ability to operate confidently in both routine and high-pressure environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Security Operations

  • Oversee and manage a team of four Security Drivers, ensuring professional conduct, performance standards, and service delivery.
  • Coordinate daily deployment, assignments, and scheduling of Security Drivers to meet operational and client needs.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members, stepping into operational duties when required.
  • Monitor staffing coverage, manage shift changes, and ensure continuity of service.
  • Support onboarding, training, and performance management of Security Drivers.
  • Support event and VIP visit planning, ensuring seamless execution and elevated protective readiness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Facilities, Property Management, Hospitality, Construction, IT) to ensure homes remain secure, functional, and guest-ready.

Emergency & Incident Response

  • Act as the lead responder during emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, system failures, security incidents, or severe weather events.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services, and community partners as needed.
  • Provide timely incident reporting, debriefs, and corrective action recommendations.

Client Support/Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client personnel regarding security driver operations.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics, scheduling requests, and operational priorities with client stakeholders.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations and organizational standards.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with client teams and external partners.

Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate logs, documentation, and incident reports.
  • Track KPIs, trends, risks, and operational improvements for leadership review.
  • Prepare reports and provide updates to leadership and client stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of residential, estate, or protective security experience.
  • Ability to obtain a firearm permit for concealed carry and carry a firearm in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
  • 3+ years of personnel management experience, including scheduling, training, and employee development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with cameras, alarms, access control, and smart-home systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in the Washington, D.C., climate.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
  • This role is site-based, with the flexibility to travel when operational needs arise.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • The HSA medical plan covers 100% of the premium for employee-only coverage. The PPO medical plan requires an employee contribution for employee-only coverage. For both plans, Concentric covers a substantial portion of the premium for dependents.
