The Role

Security Coordinator with solid experience leading cybersecurity projects, managing security services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and data protection frameworks. Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams, overseeing vendors, and aligning security initiatives with organizational risk, resilience, and governance requirements. Adept at translating regulatory obligations into actionable controls and driving end-to-end execution of security programs, audits, and continuous improvement activities.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
 

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.

Certifications: CISM, CISA, PMP, SCRUM

EXPERIENCE
6+ year in  cybersecurity services

LANGUAGES
Spanish and English (B2 level or higher)

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding of cybersecurity project management and delivery methodologies
Knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance processes
Familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations (GDPR, national data protection laws)
Working knowledge of security and resilience standards (ISO 27001, ISO 22301, NIS2, DORA, ENS where applicable)
Experience in third-party and vendor management for cybersecurity services
Understanding of security operations, managed security services, and incident response coordination
Knowledge of technical security domains (identity & access, network security, cloud security) at a coordination level
Ability to translate regulatory and audit requirements into security controls and remediation plans
Strong documentation and reporting skills (policies, procedures, risk reports, KPI/SLA dashboards)
Ability to collaborate with legal, compliance, IT, and business stakeholders
Solid communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities in multi-vendor and cross-functional environments
Experience coordinating security awareness and training initiatives
Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles

KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Coordinate and oversee cybersecurity projects and service delivery, ensuring alignment with business priorities and timelines
Manage security services and external providers, tracking performance through KPIs, SLAs, and governance meetings
Ensure organizational compliance with data protection laws, cybersecurity regulations, and resilience requirements
Support the definition, implementation, and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Act as the point of coordination for audits, assessments, and regulatory reviews, ensuring timely remediation of findings
Collaborate with IT, legal, compliance, and operational teams to implement security and data protection controls
Coordinate incident response activities, escalating as required and ensuring communication with relevant stakeholders
Support risk management by identifying, documenting, and tracking security risks, gaps, and mitigation plans
Assist in the execution of business continuity and disaster recovery exercises and planning
Oversee onboarding and continuous monitoring of third-party security controls and contractual requirements
Prepare and deliver security reporting to management, including dashboards, progress updates, and compliance status
Promote security awareness and contribute to training initiatives across the organization
