About the role

MSS Security is seeking experienced Control Room Operators for our Homes Victoria site to work as relievers. In this fast-paced role, you will monitor surveillance systems, manage incident responses, coordinate communication between security personnel and emergency services, oversee access control and visitor management, respond to emergencies, and handle daily phone inquiries.
 

 Duties include but and are not limited to:

• Monitor surveillance systems, compile reports and ensure compliance with site policies
• Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
• Access control
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.

• Prahran
• Park Towers
• Emerald Hill
• Richmond
• North Melbourne
• Williamstown

Skills & Experience:

• Full Australian working rights
• Valid Security Licence with a control room endorsement
• Certificate II in Security Operations
• First Aid and CPR
• Employee working with children check (Or willing to obtain)
• Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment
• Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures.
• Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
• Ability to operate security equipment and systems.
• Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.
