Information Security Analyst

Remote: Australia

Intapp is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join our growing team. The Information Security Analyst plays a vital role in keeping an organization’s proprietary and sensitive information secure. Also, the Information Security Analyst works inter-departmentally to identify and communicate security flaws in the company’s systems, solutions, and programs while recommending specific measures to improve the company’s overall security posture.

What you will do:

·        Provide timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities and distinguish these incidents and events from benign activities.

·        Use cyber defense tools to continually monitor and analyze systems to identify malicious activity.

·        Analyze identified malicious activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, and effects on system and information.

·        Perform event correlation using information gathered from various sources within the enterprise to gain situational awareness and determine the effectiveness of an observed attack.

·        Interact with system owners to plan and assess information systems for vulnerabilities and risks.

·        Plan, Implement, and upgrade security measures and controls to remediate or mitigate risk.

·        Manage security response by filling out security due-diligence questionnaires from clients and prospects. Help improve security due-diligence program for clients and prospects.

·        Stay current on IT security trends and news.

What you will need:

 

·        Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.

·        Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.

·        Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

·        Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies and techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions.

·        Knowledge of Intrusion Detection System (IDS)/Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) tools and applications.

·        Skill in collecting data from a variety of cyber defense resources.

·        Knowledge of information technology (IT) security principles and methods (e.g., firewalls, demilitarized zones, encryption).

·        Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to achieve set goals and deadlines.

·        Excellent English language and communication skills.

·        Be an individual contributor and a good team player.

 

 

Bonus if you have:

·        Prior SOC analyst experience.

·        Previous application or IT security control experience.
