What You’ll Do
Global Networks & Technology - Security & Operations is responsible for Telstra's security and operations, protecting Telstra's assets and infrastructure.
Through your excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills you will take a lead role in driving cultural change and assist the business by developing bespoke solutions.
Please note : This role requires regular travel within in Australia
You must have Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain minimum NV1 clearance
Key Accountabilities include:
Leverage excellent communication and influencing skills to act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing clear direction, guidance and leadership in the identification, assessment, and management of security risk (people and physical).
Gather relevant sources of information and insights to develop, implement and review enterprise-wide frameworks, systems and corporate policy/standards that continuously improve the management of security and safety risk across Telstra.
Effective engagement with regional external agencies and industry partners on matters relating to security.
Interpret and apply key legislation and regulatory obligations such as the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act and other obligations to help guide the development of compliance processes and frameworks.
Leverage analytical thinking to contribute to the development of a range of reports for a range of audiences (operational to strategic) providing valuable insights to support senior stakeholders in decision making.
Support the Incident Response team and the business in responding to significant security incidents.
Conduct Security Risk Assessment and investigations, presenting findings and recommendations to site owners and stakeholders.
About You
Skills and Experience
Essential
1-3 years’ experience in a security or similar role, preferably in a high risk or critical infrastructure industry.
Australian citizenship and ability to obtain minimum NV1 clearance.
Current Australian Drivers Licence
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships.
Ability to understand and apply standards, policies, and frameworks.
Ability to produce risk assessments.
Ability to present briefings to executive audience.
Ability to undertake regional, national travel
Highly Desirable
Demonstrated experience in investigations, risk assessment and CPTED or equivalent.
Relevant experience in a Police Force or Defence Force will be favourable considered
Knowledge and ability to operate in diverse and challenging locations around Australia
