Secure Configuration Management Technical Analyst - Officer

Who we are looking for  

We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Secure Configuration Management Program Analyst with around five years of experience in managing secure configuration programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong subject matter expertise, excel in driving compliance with program requirements, managing findings, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Why this role is important to us 

The Program Analyst ensures that configuration baselines are accurately maintained and scanned and plays a vital role in liaising with decentralized process owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives, mitigate risks, and promote secure practices across the organization. This role is crucial for ensuring that State Street's IT assets adhere to secure configuration standards, protecting the organization from vulnerabilities and enhancing system resilience.

What you will be responsible for  

Program Coordination & Support

  • Drive compliance with secure configuration management program requirements
  • Identify and maintain the scope of assets that require configuration baselines and regular scanning
  • Ensure that all aspects of the program are coordinated e3ffectively to achieve its goals

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with program goals and compliance requirements
  • Build strong relationships to facilitate collaboration and successful program deliver

Documentation and Oversight

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to program activities, requirements, and compliance results
  • Oversee the process of documenting configuration baselines and changes to ensure transparency and accountability

Issue Management & Risk Awareness

  • Manage findings and remediation plans, addressing non-compliance issues swiftly
  • Liaise with decentralized process owners to gather metrics, understand risks and issues, and certify processes are aligned with program requirements

What we value

  • Knowledge of configuration management tools, vulnerability scanning software, asset management systems, system monitoring platforms, security frameworks, and scripting languages for automation
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple aspects of the program simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables are met on time
  • Ability to understand complex data related to configurations and assess potential risks and issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at various levels

Education & Preferred Qualifications  

  • 4+ years of experience in a security compliance or related role
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is required
  • Experience in managing compliance programs and familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as CIS, NIST, or ISO 27001
  • Experience with compliance tracking and reporting tools
  • Experience with project management solutions i.e., Jira or MS Project
