The Integrated Solutions, Modeling & Architecture (ISMA) directorate performs customer focused mission modeling and simulation activities for all customer areas at Raytheon. Our teams develop, analyze, and grade flexible integration solutions crossing all product areas (sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations), developing tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements. The department has a tradition of excellence through innovation and teamwork in a flexible work environment to meet the needs of today’s workforce.

 

The Operations and Mission Analysis Department, within ISMA, is seeking a Modeling, Simulation & Analysis Section Leader.  This Section Leader will be responsible for leading a team of Operational Analysis Modeling & Simulation Engineers focused on the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments. This role also performs as an individual contributor leading or part of a team responsible for the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments

 

This is an onsite role located in McKinney, TX.

 

What You Will Do

 

Section Leader duties:

  • Responsible for direct line management activities for your employees including performance development and appraisal (including salary planning), career development, staffing allocation and ensuring your team has the resources needed to perform their work, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Responsible for the flow of communications between your section and Raytheon management, flowing communications down to your team and providing status and reports up to Raytheon management.
  • Accountable for the execution of work and delivery of products from your section
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment.

Individual Contributor duties:

  • Evaluation of end-to-end system needs to discover system interfaces and data connectivity requirements across the kill-chain (e.g., ensuring sensors can “talk to” shooters)
  • Modeling of system and mission kill chains (e.g., intercepting a threatening ballistic missile) with tools such as Government, Commercial, and Raytheon simulations (e.g. AFSIM, STK)
  • Development of metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events that led to an action.

 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with radar (RF), electro optical (EO), and infrared (IR) sensing systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages Python, MATLAB and/or Perl
  • Experience with Military Operations Analysis

 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Previous special program access
  • Experience with AFSIM
  • Experience with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments. Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Experience providing briefs and presentations to US government customers

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
