Job Description

Leads the strategic planning and governance of network disaster preparedness and risk reduction initiatives. The role ensures identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that may impact network continuity. Focuses on risk modeling, preventive planning, and readiness enhancement across Core, Transport, Access, and Power & Infrastructure domains, while aligning with NRRO strategy.

Leads the strategic planning and governance of network disaster preparedness and risk reduction initiatives. The role ensures identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks that may impact network continuity. Focuses on risk modeling, preventive planning, and readiness enhancement across Core, Transport, Access, and Power & Infrastructure domains, while aligning with NRRO strategy.

  • Develop and govern NTG-wide disaster preparedness policies and risk reduction frameworks.

  • Conduct network hazard and vulnerability assessments, identifying potential risks and recommending preventive measures.

  • Oversee risk mitigation initiatives, including site hardening, redundancy planning, and preventive maintenance alignment.

  • Maintain a network risk register and preparedness dashboards to inform NRRO leadership of risk posture.

  • Coordinate with domain teams to integrate risk reduction measures into network design, operations, and maintenance.

  • Lead annual preparedness reviews, scenario planning, and risk reduction exercises at a strategic level.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and industry standards related to disaster risk reduction.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of telecom network domains (Core, Transport, Access, Power & Infrastructure)

  • Expertise in risk assessment, disaster preparedness, and preventive network measures

  • Ability to design and manage risk registers, dashboards, and readiness indicators

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional influence

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, industry safety standards, and ISO 22301/22320  is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, IT, Risk Management, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in telecom network operations, risk management, or disaster preparedness, with leadership exposure.

  • Proven experience in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and disaster preparedness governance.

  • Knowledge of network resilience frameworks, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.

  • Certifications in ISO 22301/22320, Risk Management, or Emergency Management are advantageous.
