Job Description:

About the job

Deutsche Bank Technology in Berlin / Frankfurt
DB Technology is a global team of tech specialists, spread across multiple trading hubs and tech centres. We have a strong focus on promoting technical excellence – our teams work at the forefront of financial services innovation using cutting‑edge technologies.

Chief Security Office (CSO)

The Chief Security Office protects Deutsche Bank against information and physical security risks. CSO drives the Bank’s information security strategy and ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Deutsche Bank’s information assets across a global technology landscape.

Within the Chief Security Office (CSO), Identity & Access Management (IAM) is a core security capability responsible for ensuring that access to Deutsche Bank’s systems, applications, and data is appropriately controlled, monitored, and governed throughout the user and service lifecycle. IAM initiatives focus on reducing security risk, enforcing least‑privilege access, and meeting regulatory and audit expectations across the Bank.

Secrets Management is a key component of IAM, addressing the secure handling of non‑human credentials such as passwords, API keys, certificates, and service accounts. Secrets Management initiatives aim to improve confidentiality, integrity, and availability by introducing standardized lifecycle management, inventory, monitoring, and control mechanisms for secrets used across on‑premise, cloud, and application environments. These initiatives are critical to reducing operational risk and strengthening the Bank’s security posture.

As a Project Lead (f/m/x), you will be accountable for the end‑to‑end delivery of complex security‑related programmes and initiatives, providing leadership across planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder management within a regulated, global environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Own and lead the end‑to‑end delivery of CSO programmes and projects, ensuring outcomes are delivered in line with agreed scope, timelines, budget, and security objectives.
  • Provide strong delivery leadership across planning, execution, and governance, setting clear direction for project teams and ensuring alignment with CSO strategy and priorities.
  • Oversee and actively manage delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and controls, ensuring compliance with Information Security policies, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
  • Lead engagement with senior stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Business, and Control functions, providing transparent communication, escalation, and decision support.
  • Establish and chair appropriate governance forums, ensuring clear accountability, effective decision‑making, and accurate management information for senior management.

Your skills and experiences

  • Extensive experience leading complex projects or programmes within technology, information security, or risk‑controlled environments, ideally within large, global organisations.
  • Strong understanding of information security, identity and access management, and risk management concepts, with the ability to apply them pragmatically to delivery.
  • Proven experience operating at senior stakeholder level, with the ability to influence, challenge, and drive decisions across a matrix organisation.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem‑solving skills, with a track record of delivering outcomes through teams and partners.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
