Objective

Assist the Korea Team with the Private Equity Secondaries & Primaries investment activities and fundraising in Korea

This position is for the Secondaries & Primaries Investment Team that has recently closed the world’s largest ever $30bn secondaries platform fund, ASF IX, in January 2025.

Tasks & Responsibilities (Private Equity Secondaries & Primaries, Investor Relations)

  • Supporting the investment process:
    • Preparation of investment models and memorandums for Secondaries (pricing and execution), Primary fund investments, and Direct co-investments;
    • Financial modelling and analysis;
    • Quantitative and qualitative analysis of transactions

  • Assisting in the monitoring of existing private equity investments:
    • Portfolio management and allocation;
    • Market and financial research

  • Assisting in the Investor Relations business:
    • Fundraising and Secondary pitch materials;
    • Market research;
    • Investor reporting materials;
    • KOR to ENG, ENG to KOR translation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Top academic performance from leading universities;
  • The candidate should possess a broad set of quantitative, qualitative and interpersonal skills, and be a strong team player. He/she should be able to critically assess an industry's competitive dynamic, cyclicality, and profit pools; a target company's current competitive position, operational performance and future earnings capacity; and customer and/or supplier relationships. He/she should also have strong financial modelling skills;
  • Ideally the candidate would have prior experience in an investment bank/corporate advisory/ private equity/consulting position;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential;
