JOB DESCRIPTION EFFECTIVE: July 2024 

 

JOB TITLE: Turndown Attendant DEPARTMENT: Housekeeping  

 

BASIC PURPOSE 

Provides a comfortable evening environment in Guest Rooms by cleaning and refreshing the room in the early evening and preparing the room for the guest to sleep in.  

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Prepares the guest room for turndown service. Removes used towels and replaces them with clean ones from the linen closetWipes down any wet services in the bathroom. Folds any clothing left in room and places it in appropriate spot.  Removes Room Service trays and dishes and carts to service landings. Replaces used cups, saucers, spoons and glasses from the Minibar with clean china, glasses and cutlery from the Room Attendant pantry. Removes garbage from bins in bedroom and bathroom. Closes drapes (based on applicable standard), reduces lighting, turn music on softly and prepares bed. Submits all maintenance issues in guestrooms, Public Areas and Back of house areas to the Engineering department through designated work systems and brings them to the attention of the Housekeeping management. Add special touches to the guestrooms to enhance the guest experience. For example micro fiber cloth, book marks, travel bags  

Restocks used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery, pens and coffee, tea and sugar sachets.  

Prepares unoccupied rooms for turndown for arriving guests 

Performs full Room Attendant duties in occupied rooms and late check-out rooms when needed.  

Complies with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact 

Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.  

 

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Lobby Attendant and House Attendant. 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: 

  

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent  

Experience: Prior experience preferred but not required.  

Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, write and speak English.
