This is a seasonal, part-time, entry-level position. We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team in maintaining facility standards, supporting animal welfare, and assisting with educational programming. This role requires a strong commitment to animal care, customer service, and physical labor in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Ensure housekeeping standards are met across all areas
Perform trail, and animal enclosure upkeep, including repairs and cleaning
Assist with general groundskeeping and facility organization
Greet and assist visitors with professionalism and courtesy
Develop and deliver educational programs (power point)
Plan and lead arts and crafts activities
Engage with guests in informed interpretation
Lead guided hikes, bike rides, disc golf
Perform minor trail maintenance
Assist in event setup/takedown
Daily care for turtles
Complete daily opening/closing duties
Routine grounds maintenance around Nature Center
Trash pickup in park
Ability to regularly lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs
Comfortable with hiking and working on trails
Willingness to work in varying weather conditions (indoors and outdoors)
Stamina for physically demanding tasks
Must be at least 16 years old
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Scheduled hours will require flexibility, including holidays, weekends, or events, based on the needs of the department
