Salary Range: $38.17 - $46.14 Per Hour

Job Summary: A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. Major Duties:

  • The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for each duty station is listed below. These employment periods can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Denali National Park and Preserve (DENA) - Denali Park, Alaska - Anticipated employment period is April - October. Anticipated Entry on Duty: April 2026. Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve and Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve (YUGA) - Eagle and Circle Hot Springs, Alaska - Anticipated employment period is May - October. Anticipated Entry on Duty: May 2026. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Passes on to other workers the instructions received from the supervisor by assigning daily tasks to individuals of the work group. Ensures necessary plans, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools are available when needed. Recommends operation needs per work requests to the supervisor. Checks work in progress and upon completion to determine/ensure supervisor's instructions are being followed and to meet deadlines. Reports progress and delays to supervisor and on overall operations and problems. Performs non-supervisory work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and related fixtures and utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades. Paints wood, metal, equipment, interiors and exteriors of buildings using brush, roller and spray equipment. Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability to Lead or Supervise (SCREEN OUT) Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading) Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of materials Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic) If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration.
