The Opportunity:

As the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Washington State University’s (WSU) inaugural SEO program. You will own the SEO implementation and rollout process at WSU, ensuring the program is operating efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will lead WSU’s SEO initiatives to enhance its online presence, drive organic traffic, and improve the visibility of academic programs, research, and institutional resources. You will also be involve strategic planning, systemwide collaboration, identifying and implementing dedicated SEO software applications, and hands-on implementation of SEO best practices to achieve measurable results and deliver on WSU’s mission.

Additional Information:

This is a part time (50% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $5,485.73 - $8,877.58 (Prorated at 50% FTE $2,742.87 - $4,438.79) | Commensurate with experience and qualifications

In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or relevant field AND four (4) years relevant related professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SEO implementation and management for a system of higher education.
