We are currently hiring a full time Production Lead who is eager to work in a fast paced team oriented work environment in our Richmond, BC location. The Production Lead coordinates and assists in the supervision activities for the production functions.

Position: Permanent, Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30am to 12:00pm / 4:00am to 12:30pm

Wage: $25/hour plus bonuses and night shift premium (paid on weekly basis!)

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborates with the supervisor to assist in coordinating the daily activities of the production lines.

  • Monitors the receiving, selection, and/or loading of warehouse products to ensure the efficient flow of products in the warehouse.

  • Monitors and prioritizes order fulfillment and monitors staff break times.

  • Assists in investigating variances.

  • Assists in the department's administration function and record keeping, including weekly action incentive input and scoring, preparing meetings, and analyzing error ratios.

  • Provides training for employees on job technique and/or safety requirements.

  • Serve in the function of employee or supervisor as appropriate.

  • Assists in resolving production  issues, problems, or conflicts.

  • A production lead is to follow and maintain all Quality Assurance, HACCP, SQF requirements, and Occupational Health & Safety regulations and ensure all employees under their department follow all the regulations.

  • Perform any other duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent.

  • 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience would be a strong asset.

  • Must have experience working in food manufacturing.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong motivation toward company, team, and individual results.

  • Forklift experience (or willingness to learn how to operate a forklift) would be an asset.

  • Must be comfortable working in an environment that can be cold and wet.

  • Ability to work effectively with others and build and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships.

  • Must have good written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Must have good time management and organizational skills.

  • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently or within a team environment.

  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, presentation, email, and internet software applications.
