SDSA Group Lead, RWE Oncology (Secondment - 18 Months)

WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU

The SDSA Group Lead for RWE Oncology will lead a team of statistical programmers to deliver high-quality real-world evidence (RWE) analytics supporting oncology portfolio decisions, regulatory submissions, and business development. This role requires deep expertise in real-world data (RWD) programming, rapid analytics, and strategic leadership to accelerate evidence generation and inform go/no-go decisions across the pipeline.

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor a team of SDSA professionals to deliver RWE solutions for oncology programs.

  • Drive innovation in data science methodologies and tools to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency.

  • Partner cross-functionally with MED, clinical, medical affairs and HEOR teams

Technical Excellence

  • Oversee development and execution of RWD programming, including SAS, R and SQL-based analytics.

  • Implement and maintain standardized code repositories and macros for descriptive statistics and table generation.

  • Ensure quality control and compliance for all deliverables

Innovation & Collaboration

  • Champion novel approaches for clinical trial recruitment leveraging RWD and tokenization.

  • Collaborate with external registries and internal stakeholders to contextualize efficacy and safety data.

  • Drive initiatives that integrate RWE into early development and lifecycle management decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must-Have

Education

  • BA/BS 8+ years of experience OR MBA/MS 7+ years of experience. PhD or JD 5+ years of experience. MD/DVM 4+ years of experience.

  • Advanced degrees in public health or quantitative sciences considered.

Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in RWD programming and analytics, with strong SAS and SQL expertise.

  • Proven track record in developing RWE strategies for regulatory and business decisions.

  • Prior experience as a trial statistician highly desirable.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

  • Expertise in rapid analytics and dashboard development.

  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and author submission documents.
