SDET Analyst (CONTRACT) REMOTE

Broadridge is hiring! This is an outstanding opportunity to join an excellent team and have a substantial impact on the Quality Engineering and automation process. This is as an SDET testing role focused on building out test automation (core-Java based) and processes to ensure the quality of Broadridge internally written applications. The ideal candidate will work on in Sprint testing and Automation for AWS Based functional deliverables. We are seeking an SDET with strong Java and experience automating in ASW environment, in Sprint testing/automation, Jenkins based CI/CD pipeline experience.

Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.  

Responsibilities:

  • QA testing with a focus on in Sprint automation.
  • Define and implement improvements to our existing processes and automated tools with the goal of increased testing scope and efficiency.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers and Product teams to understand the sophisticated ecosystems of the Broadridge product offerings.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts promoting reusable components and maintainability.
  • Execute automated scripts and perform failure analysis to resolve root cause of failure.
  • Triage, diagnosis, and resolution of issues discovered across the platform.Drive the conversion of manual tests to automated whenever possible. 
  • Uphold the Broadridge Quality organizations standards and procedures, including our coding best standard practices.
  • Contribute to end-to-end Build regression/acceptance tests.
  • Support QA Tools and activities as needed.
  • Work with both onshore and offshore teams to meet objectives and timelines.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software developer/SDET.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java.
  • 4+ years crafting, implementing, and running test cases.
  • 4+ years working with test processes, methodologies, tools, and technology.
  • 4+ years performing functional and UI testing, quality reporting.
  • Passion around driving best practices in the testing space.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches.
  • Experience building or improving test automation frameworks (Java, AWS based)
  • Proficiency CICD integration and pipeline development in Jenkins, Bamboo  or other similar tools.
  • Experience in Gherkin (BDD /TDD) using Cucumber/Jbehave.
  • Experience working in AWS environment (setting up EC2 instances, S3 access)
  • Excellent knowledge of JAVA
  • Good knowledge of AWS services/components
  • Should be able to work in an Agile environment and capable of delivering test automation in sprint.
  • Ability to quickly fix and diagnose issues within the quality assurance environment and communicate that knowledge to a varied audience of technical and non-technical partners
  • Experience using SDLC frameworks such as Scrum or other Agile frameworks and using tools such as JIRA to facilitate
  • Experience working with  Splunk
  • AWS 
  • Solid communication (written/ oral) skills
  • Consistent record in delivering high quality applications
  • Positive working attitude, attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven project management skills and team oriented
  • Goal/results oriented, focused with moderate negotiating skills

Hourly range $50-60/hr
