Founded in 1979, ASEM has actively participated in the evolution of digital information technologies. Today, we operate in the markets of Industrial Automation, Test, and Measurement. Our product range includes industrial PCs and monitors, as well as HMI, control, remote assistance, and Industrial IoT gateways. These products are characterized by our own hardware, firmware, software, mechanical, and system design capability.

Since 2020 we have been part of the American multinational group Rockwell Automation, a leading player operating in the industrial automation sector with headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA).

At ASEM, we are looking for a experienced Scrum Master (Software) to enable cross-functional software teams to deliver value predictably and sustainably. You will act as someone for 2–3 Agile teams, facilitating Scrum/Kanban practices, removing impediments, improving flow and quality, and increasing transparency across a distributed, multi-campus environment.

As a Scrum Master you will report to the Test & Technical Project Manager, and have a hybrid schedule working in Verona.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Enable and coach 2–3 cross-functional software teams (development, testing/QA, UX, InfoDev, product, DevSecOps) to work using Agile/Lean practices and to continuously improve team outcomes.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies end-to-end (Sprint Planning, Daily, Review, Retrospective) and support effective Backlog Refinement with Product Owners, ensuring shared understanding, clear acceptance criteria, and Sprint Goal focus.
    • Identify, remove, and/or orchestrate the removal of impediments; proactively manage risks and dependencies across teams and stakeholders, escalating when needed to protect delivery and quality.
    • Improve flow and predictability by introducing/maintaining flow and making progress transparent to technical and product stakeholders.
    • Drive continuous improvement: help teams define and maintain Definition of Ready/Done and quality practices (shift-left, test-first mindset) in collaboration with QA/Test.
    • Support planning and alignment across distributed teams (multi-campus): coordinate shared milestones, integration points, demos, and release readiness activities.
    • Promote effective collaboration practices and documentation (Teams + shared spaces), enabling on goals, commitments, and delivery status.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as Scrum Master in software development contexts (product/platform/service), ideally with distributed teams
  • Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and validation/quality processes, and ability to collaborate effectively with development and testing stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and flow-based planning, with a data-driven approach.
  • English language (multi-campus / distributed environment).
  • Familiarity with collaboration and ALM tools for backlog/boards and delivery tracking (e.g., Jira; Jama, Jira Align, Teams).

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Experience in industrial software contexts (e.g., HMI/SCADA/IIoT), integration-heavy products or release governance.
  • Italian language
