2The Scrum Master is a servant leader responsible for enabling Agile delivery teams within BASSC to successfully deliver value through SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban practices. This role facilitates Agile ceremonies, removes impediments, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement while partnering closely with Product Owners, Business stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure alignment and predictable delivery. The Scrum Master also represents teams in Program Increment (PI) Planning and supports Lean Portfolio Management principles across the organization.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Retrospectives, Daily Scrums, Iteration Planning, Iteration Reviews, and Backlog Refinement to ensure team engagement and a consistent delivery cadence.
Coach teams on Agile, SAFe, and Lean-Agile values and practices to strengthen collaboration, self-organization, flow, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with Product Owners to maintain a healthy backlog, support short‑ and long‑term planning, and ensure high-quality work readiness.
Identify, track, and remove impediments affecting team progress while escalating risks and dependencies across teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
Represent teams during Program Increment (PI) Planning and coordinate cross-team alignment, commitments, and dependencies.
Provide clear and timely visibility of team progress, risks, and Agile delivery metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
Partner with Business, IT, and external vendors to support Agile delivery, align with portfolio strategies, and reinforce Lean Portfolio Management principles.
Promote and nurture a culture of psychological safety, learning, and continuous improvement through regular retrospectives and targeted coaching interventions.
