About this opportunity:
This role supports the coordination, planning, and execution of logistics for full field operations across the Atlantic Region. Reporting to the Manager, SCM Atlantic Logistics, the Logistics Advisor ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of materials and equipment between onshore facilities and offshore assets. The position partners closely with Production Operations, Drilling, Completions and Interventions, Marine Operations, Aviation, Warehousing, and external service providers. The role is primarily onshore, with periodic offshore travel and participation in on-call rotations in accordance with Cenovus’ Fit for Duty Policy. Strong planning, communication, and decision-making skills are required to support a 24/7 operational environment while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
This role is based at our St. John’s, NL office and may include periodic offshore travel.
What you’ll do:
Develop and execute daily and weekly logistics plans for personnel, vessel, helicopter, and cargo movements.
Coordinate with service providers to ensure cargo readiness, vessel loading plans, and adherence to sailing schedules aligned with offshore requirements.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align logistics execution with offshore operational plans.
Provide logistics support for emergency response, including medevac/casevac activities and security-related events.
Communicate and coordinate with offshore personnel, contractors, and internal teams.
Build strong working relationships with aviation, marine, warehousing, and operational partners.
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or a related field is considered an asset, along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience in materials coordination and/or logistics is an asset.
Proficiency in DaWinci, Kabal, SAP, Microsoft Office, or similar logistics/ERP systems is an asset.
Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements within logistics operations is considered an asset.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, particularly during day-of-travel issues, medevacs, or emergent logistics needs.
Strong planning and prioritization skills in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.

This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to offshore pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a CAPP medical and BST/HUEBA testing.
You must be able to travel via helicopter and boat. This position requires the successful candidate travel offshore, there you will be required to obtain and maintain medical clearance and obtain all required training necessary for offshore travel.
