[What you will be working on]
In this role, you will:
- Plan and manage projects that support the sustainable expansion and intensification of aquaculture such as environmental monitoring and management of fish farming sites
- Undertake activities related to aquaculture environmental data collection and interpretation
- Identify knowledge or technology gaps related to monitoring and management of the aquaculture site conditions and develop solutions to address the gaps, including conduct of relevant R&D projects
- Engage local and regional counterparts and specialists to address emerging issues related to the environmental sustainability of the aquaculture industry
- Perform duties as required for the smooth implementation of the aquaculture environmental monitoring and management programmes
[What we are looking for]
Our requirements:
- Strong scientific or research background in aquaculture-related fields such as marine and environmental sciences
- Proficient in computer software applications, good analytical skills and familiar with statistical methods
- Prepared to work on weekends and after office hours when necessary
- Team player with good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in the office, field or offshore environments, including onboard sea-going vessels
- Fresh graduates from related fields are welcome to apply
