Location/Division Specific Information

At Olink, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, our Innovation Centre develops next‑generation technologies and applications for protein biomarker discovery.

Discover Impactful Work:

The Innovation Centre drives the next generation of technologies, products, and applications for protein biomarker discovery. As a Scientist in the Innovation Centre, you will play a key experimental role in our projects, with a strong focus on protein chemistry and immunoassay development.

This is a highly laboratory-based position. You will design and run experiments, characterise antibodies and protein reagents, and contribute to the development and optimisation of immunoassays that underpin the Olink platforms. You will work closely with senior scientists and project managers, helping to strengthen antibody and protein chemistry know-how within the team.

A Day in the Life:

  • Contribute to the development, optimisation, and troubleshooting of immunoassays and related workflows.

  • Prepare, handle, and maintain antibody and protein reagent panels with high quality and traceability.

  • Perform routine data analysis and documentation, ensuring experiments are captured in a clear, structured, and reproducible manner.

  • Support the implementation and refinement of laboratory methods for antibody screening, affinity/kinetics measurements, and specificity assessments in close collaboration with the Affinity team.

  • Evaluate new reagents, protocols, and technologies that can improve assay robustness, throughput, or performance.

  • Work closely with colleagues in molecular biology, protein chemistry, and data analysis to integrate results and refine experimental designs.

  • Participate actively in project teams, providing high-quality experimental data and input to discussions.

  • Present experimental plans and results in internal meetings in a concise and clear way.

  • Help maintain an efficient and well-organised laboratory environment, including equipment maintenance and adherence to safety procedures.

  • Contribute to building and sharing antibody/protein chemistry expertise within the Innovation Centre.

Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent experience in biochemistry, structural biology, or biotechnology.

  • Solid expertise in the characterization of monoclonal antibodies (mAb) and other antibodies, including techniques such as SPR/Octet, ELISA, PEA, and PLA.

  • Experience in the development, optimization, and validation of immunoassays.

The final date to submit applications is the 4th of January 2026. The role could be filled prior to this deadline.
