This position is within the ImmunoDiagnostic Division in Uppsala, Sweden. Our division is a market leader withing diagnostic tests for allergy and autoimmune diseases. We have our headquarter in Uppsala where we also have our research and development as well as manufacturing for all our allergy diagnostics products.
The ImmunoCAP Design & Scientific Support group at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Uppsala, is an interdisciplinary team of 14 driven and engaged colleagues that belong to the R&D Allergy department. The group has design and development responsibility for most the company’s allergy diagnostic products. We are now looking to expand and further strengthen our group with a new colleague.
How will you make an impact?
As a member of the ImmunoCAP Design & Scientific Support, you will work cross functionally to support many of our key functions in both product and process development. You will be involved in developing new products within the allergy diagnostics field as well as making sure that the products we have on the market are of the right quality, produced in the best way and that our customers get the right support.
What will you do?
Subject matter expert for technical design of our ImmunoCAP products across the organization.
Support the department in questions related to assay design and immunoassay.
Plan, perform and evaluate experimental work.
Support and collaborate with our:
Operations department in quality and design questions.
Systems department in assay and instrument related questions.
Regulatory department with registration activities.
How will you get here?
Education:
Applicants should have a Master of Science degree, or equivalent work experience, in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Immunology or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years preferred of laboratory experience.
Product and assay development within the immunodiagnostics area.
Experience with production processes within the IVD area is a merit.
Experience with regulatory and quality related activities, ISO and IVD regulations, is a merit.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Self-motivated, independent and strong critical thinking.
Strong lab skills.
Individual must work well in a team environment and be adaptable to changes in priorities.
Strong collaboration skills and cross functional work experience
Must be organized and detail oriented to be able to prioritize own and other’s work and meet business productivity metrics.
Good word processing and spreadsheet software skills with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
