Job Description
We are seeking a Scientist III with strong expertise in the development, commercialization and technical support of CE, HID and molecular biology products. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our manufacturing, quality control, and product integrity teams locally, while partnering with R&D colleagues across the globe. You will play a key part in driving innovation, product and process development, and quality improvements that ensure the highest standards of scientific excellence and product performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and validate CE fragment and Sanger sequencing assays (e.g. expanded repeat assays, somatic and germline mutation assays and pathogen detection assays).
- Design end to end CE-based workflows (e.g., DNA extraction, CE run conditions, and data analysis).
- Establish and maintain CE instrument configurations and maintenance.
- Prepare validation plans, studies and reports on technologies and scientific techniques.
- Transfer newly developed products from R&D to manufacturing.
- Assist with troubleshooting efforts and root cause investigations.
- Prepare and present experimental data summaries and reports.
- Scientific literature analysis related to products under development and new insight generation.
Requirements:
Education
- MS/PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioengineering, or related field; or BS with equivalent experience.
Experience:
- At least 3+ years of biotechnology proven experience focused on product development and commercialization.
- Familiar with design control process and compliance appropriate to environment.
- Experience with CE instrumentation (e.g., ABI 3500/3730/SeqStudio Systems) and CE analysis software is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in multiplex PCR design, assay DoE/optimization, and statistical analysis is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical problem-solving and data interpretation skills, with the ability to integrate results across platforms.
- Effective communicator capable of presenting complex analytical results clearly to cross-functional collaborators.
- Diligent, organized, and able to balance multiple projects in parallel.
