The Opportunity
The Scientist 1 position executes and conducts research; may develop or recommend new procedures related to R&D processes.
What You'll Work On
- Investigates, and may create and develop new methods and technologies for project advancement with guidance from more experienced colleague
- Conducts experiments of more complex projects, seeks advice when needed from more experienced colleagues for more complicated technical and design challenges. able to handle multiple projects independently
- Possesses and applies knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of moderately complex assignments
- Able to perform RA III responsibilities and as well as conduct scientific phases of a project for a more experienced scientist.
- Works on problems of moderate and diverse scope in which analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Proposes potential solutions to more advance problems.
- May plan and work on projects of smaller complexity under limited supervision
- Participates in routine maintenance and lab safety.
- With minimal guidance can write verification and validation protocols and reports, order materials needed to complete procedures; Documents development work, writing technical reports and cost estimates.
- No formal supervisor duties, but may direct less experienced RAs in their day to day work and assist in problem solving
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) B.S in biological or physical sciences, or mathematics
- 3+ years of progressively responsible positions
- Practical Lab Skills with increasing knowledge complexity with experience
- More advanced Problem –solving skills
- Has good knowledge of science and the ability to apply more complex and advance principles and techniques
The base pay for this position is
$61,300.00 – $122,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
