OVERVIEW:

Alberta Blue Cross® has an excellent career opportunity for a pharmacist, nurse, or other clinical healthcare professional to apply their pharmaceutical knowledge and skills across a variety of processes designed to meet the needs of our customers.

As a member of the Scientific and Research Services team, you will be responsible for conducting scientific reviews, completing projects that support formulary management, and assisting with activities required to support the Alberta Health Expert Committee on Drug Evaluation and Therapeutics. This role also involves ongoing interaction and liaison with government and industry stakeholders.

This position will appeal to motivated and enthusiastic team players who are interested in applying their strong communication and organizational skills in a non-traditional clinical setting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Prepare summaries of select drug product submissions.
  • Assist with activities required to support the work of the Expert Committee.
  • Provide ongoing interaction and liaison with government and industry stakeholders.
  • Contribute as an active member of the SRS department in supporting regulatory and review processes.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Baccalaureate degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, or an equivalent healthcare profession.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience.
  • Licensed to practice in Alberta with the applicable professional college.
  • Extensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals and a strong understanding of study methodologies.
  • Knowledge of pharmaco-economic and pharmaco-epidemiologic assessments is considered an asset.
  • Strong clinical and presentation skills with a commitment to delivering a high-quality customer experience.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships in environments requiring a high level of pharmaceutical expertise.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
