School of Hospitality - Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Diploma in Hospitality & Tourism Management)[What you will be working on]
Your responsibilities extend beyond classroom instruction. You are instrumental in fostering your students' growth, identifying their strengths, and supporting their lifelong learning journey. Your duties include developing curriculum and delivering training programmes that reflect current industry standards, as well as evaluating student performance. Additionally, you will engage in industry-related projects to ensure your professional relevance, adapt to industry changes, and maintain strong connections with industry partners.
Areas that you will be responsible for include:
• Developing and undertaking industry-related projects such as consultancy assignments and sourcing sponsorships
• Designing and facilitating industry training sessions and workshops based on emerging trends
• Organising student development activities including mentoring, projects, competitions, and workshops
• Supporting the diploma team in academic matters related to the programme
[What we are looking for]
• Relevant academic qualification(s) in hospitality, business, or related disciplines
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the tourism and hospitality industry
• Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas:
o Omnichannel Management
o Customer Relationship Management
o Customer & Tourism Analytics
o Hospitality Sales & Revenue
• Strong analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities, paired with creativity and customer empathy
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including experience in building and sustaining relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organisations
• A passion for teaching and motivating both young and adult learners
