[What the role is]
School of Applied Science - Food Research Staff/Scientist (9 months contract)[What you will be working on]
• Design, propose and perform research projects in alternative protein, extrusion technology, functional foods and fermentation.
• Lead /collaborate with industry partners on projects.
• Conduct sensory evaluation and characterisation of plant-based foods, functional beverages with various analytical equipment e.g. textural analyser, spectrophotometric analysis, etc.
• Conduct courses and supervise students in their Final Year Project (FYP)/ project/ internship
[What we are looking for]
Relevant training in food science and technology, chemical engineering, biological sciences or other related disciplines. Preferably with post graduate training and/or two years of work experience in the food industry.
