Your impact 

As an intern in Data & Procurement Integration, you’ll make an impact by: 

- Data Assessment & Quality Review:  

  • Review technical deliverables related to data infrastructure, systems, and processes. 

  • Assess data quality in procurement datasets. 

  • Inventory historical/current schemas and identify data quality issues (missing fields, divergent codes, legacy structures). 

- Requirements Gathering: 

  • Define metrics to measure evolution in digital public procurement. 

  • Collect and organize requirements for conceptual and technical mappings. 

- Data Strategy & Integration: 

  • Recommend technologies, tools, and methodologies for effective data management. 

  • Define data integration solutions to connect disparate systems. 

  • Propose solutions for data consistency and interoperability. 

- Conceptual & Technical Mapping Support: 

  • Assist in analysing national procurement models and European standards. 

  • Document assumptions, gaps, and resolutions for technical work. 

- Data Analysis & Visualisation using Power BI 

- Performance Optimisation: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data processing and analytics. 

- Validation & Continuous Improvement:  

  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives for data-related processes. 

- Training & Documentation:  

  • Create and maintain documentation for data-related processes, models, and workflows. 

  • Support training of end-users on interpreting and utilizing data visualizations effectively. 

About you 

Technical Skills:  

  • Knowledge of the public procurement process and data exchanges. 

  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI 

  • Basic understanding of semantics, data modelling. 

  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of data quality assessment and improvement techniques. 

  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with data transformation tools (RML, JSON/XML/CSV).  

Analytical Skills: 

  • Ability to analyse large datasets and identify patterns, inconsistencies, and gaps. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills for proposing data integration and optimization solutions. 

Communication & Collaboration: 

  • Interest in public procurement systems and EU digital initiatives. 

  • Comfortable engaging with international stakeholders.   

  • Ability to document processes clearly and present findings effectively. 

  • Exposure to semantic web technologies (RDF, ontologies) is a plus.
