Summary of Primary Functions: Plot, stamp, and issue all Engineering documents to appropriate departments. (shop cards, d-sheets, steel cards, B.O.M, drawings, details, calculations and mix designs, field and plant repairs.) Maintain files for hard copies and network. Enter data in T.A.S.K and IFS. Operate copiers, plotter, scanner and fax machine and computer. Package up submittals and construction documents to ship out. Order all supplies when needed. Work in other departments as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
Keep Engineering Files up to date for hard copies and on network
Receive Shop Cards, D-Sheets, B.O.M, Details, Calculation, Drawings, Steel cards, and Field and Plant Repairs from E-mail and websites. Then place them on the network and look in box on wall for in-house issue
Make PDF’s and text files of all shop cards
In AutoCAD and PDF revise shop card (piece, Dimensions, weights, D-Sheets, Product Code
Input shop card data in T.A.S.K and IFS (piece, Dimensions, weights, D-Sheets, Product Code, etc.) Check shops as they are put in to make sure dimensions match on the sheet info
Plot out shop cards, D-Sheets, B.O.M, Details, Calculation, Drawings, and Steel cards
Put field and plant repairs in IFS for tracking money
Stamp and make copies and issue Shop cards, D-Sheets, B.O.M, Steel Cards, Field and Plant Repairs inside the company
Meet with the Production Scheduler to find out what documents and shop cards are needed by our deadline for the day
Confer with the engineers and outside companies to get shop cards and other documents needed for scheduling
Work with Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, DWG to PDF converter, Job Status Database, share file, and zip files, T.A.S.K, IFS
Keep standards book and detailing manual book current and issue revisions. Make copies of both books to give to new employees
Keep up with supplies and order when needed.
Back up scheduling clerk and front desk when needed
Perform miscellaneous duties for other supervisors
Has daily contact with fellow employees in other units of the company and top management
Create manufactured subcomponent parts in IFS.
Create bill of materials and routings for finished goods parts.
Print order documents and distribute them to the support departments.
Make copies / scan pour packs for the bed crews and QC.
Create and manage material orders for erection material in IFS.
Job Specifications or Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Experience: Less than 1 year of related experience is required.
