The SCADA and Controls Engineer for BMS, EPMS, and Alarm Management will oversee the lifecycle management of Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and Alarm Management platforms. This role is critical for ensuring that these systems align with CyrusOne’s operational efficiency and compliance standards, specifically adherence to ISA 18.2 for alarm management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive product strategies and roadmaps for BMS, EPMS, and Alarm Management systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure products meet technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and technological advancements to maintain and enhance the competitiveness of the product offerings.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept through release, including feature definition, scope control, and timeline management.
- Ensure all products adhere to relevant industry standards and regulations, focusing on safety, efficiency, and compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional teams regarding product development, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
- Provide in-depth technical training and support to sales, customer service, and technical teams to ensure alignment and competency in product features and benefits.
- Assist with configuring, installing, and maintaining BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and related control platforms.
- Set up TCP/IP networks, communication devices, BACnet and Modbus gateways; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Use EPMS/SCADA tools for monitoring, trending, and verifying data.
- Perform point‑to‑point testing, functional startup procedures, and prepare commissioning documentation.
- Review drawings, calculations, and supplier documents to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
- Produce clear technical reports and maintain commissioning logs and issue lists.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of proven experience in product management, particularly with BMS, EPMS, or similar systems.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems, building management, and advanced alarm management in line with ISA 18.2 standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel 10%
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.
