Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Quality Inspector 3 to provide support to our repair and manufacturing programs in Warner Robins, GA. This position is full-time on-site in Warner Robins, GA and will support the Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) Operating Unit, within the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector. This location primarily supports the design, delivery, and sustainment of embedded software and mission planning systems on various US and foreign airborne platforms. The Quality and Mission Assurance organization is chartered with providing the skills and experience required to support a robust Quality Management System designed to ensure products and services meet or exceed internal and external customer requirements and promote mission success.
Responsibilities:
Perform both visual and mechanical inspections on all products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electro-mechanical assemblies or mechanical units, and sub-assemblies.
In-process, final and test operations on all Repair and Production items to ensure conformance to all drawing requirements; NGC QMS (Quality Management System) requirements in support of Repair/Manufacturing activities Contracts, purchase orders and/or internal work instructions.
Understand and utilize predetermined inspection methods (blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists).
Perform both visual and mechanical inspections and verifications on all purchased parts, components, systems for all incoming/receiving efforts.
Witness test verifications and sell-off of assets through the verification of standards, use of test/monitoring equipment, test data sheets, drawing requirements and other approved documentation.
Other duties include, but will not be limited to:
Assist other functional team members with any associated actions.
Inputs of suggested process changes in support of efficiency, and to improve productivity, etc.
Monitor compliance to requirements, such as safety glasses; use of protective gloves; ear protection.
Maintains records of results of all inspections, logs, writes reports and other related activities utilizing approved documentation collection methods.
Work is performed within the confines of standardized company and industry policies, practices, and procedures. This job has decision-making responsibilities regarding the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed of which records of results are maintained. The position has the authority to halt work temporarily that would affect the production operations team.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.
Knowledge of IPC standards or similar industry standard requirements.
Soldering, repair and/or assembly experience.
Experience working in a dynamic and high-paced environment.
Ability to record detailed information accurately and in a timely manner.
Experience with common quality systems such as nonconformances, cause/corrective actions.
This position requires strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools.
Must have an Active U.S. Government DoD security clearance.

IPC-J-STD -001 Soldering certification
IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies Certification
