We are looking for a candidate to become Satellite Ground Segment Software Engineer (d/m/f) within Airbus Space Engineering, located in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

You will join powerful team to design satellite ground segments.

As a Software Engineer (d/m/f) for space ground segments, you will be part of a team based in Friedrichshafen supporting our integrated nation space mission project teams. Your tasks and responsibilities

• Design and integration of (cloud) infrastructure for ground segments

• Coordination of hard- and software infrastructure components

• Maintenance support for customers

• Support proposals and new technologies (e.g. AI) for neo ground segments

Desired skills and qualifications

• Degree in computer science or comparable

• Experience with software development/engineering (Agile development, Linux- Environments, DevOps, Cloud platform like Kubernetes) Infrastructure design and integration

• Experience with RedHat and RedHat OpenShift would be a plus

• Good communication and team skills

• Fluency in German & English

Als Software Engineer (d/m/w) für Raumfahrt-Bodensegmente werden Sie Teil eines Teams in Friedrichshafen sein, das unsere Projektteams für integrierte nationale Raumfahrtmissionen unterstützt. Neben diesen operativen Tätigkeiten werden Sie zu unserem Transformationsplan beitragen, der die Vision hat, nationaler Champion für hochleistungsfähige Boden-Raumfahrt-Missionslösungen zu werden.

Aufgaben:

• Design und Integration der Bodensegment (Cloud-)Infrastruktur

• Koordinierung von infrastrukturellen Hard- und Softwarekomponenten

• Wartungsunterstützung für Kunden

• Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Angeboten und neuen Technologien (z.B. KI) von zukünftigen Bodensegmenten

Erforderliche Fähigkeiten:

• Abgeschlossenes Studium der Informatik oder vergleichbar

• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung (Agile Entwicklung, Linux-Umgebungen, DevOps, Cloud-Plattform wie Kubernetes)

• Erfahrung in Infrastruktur Design und Integration

• Erfahrung mit RedHat und RedHat OpenShift wäre ein Plus

• Gute Kommunikations- und Teamfähigkeiten

• Fließend in Deutsch & Englisch
