Job Description Summary: The primary role of this position is to provide exemplary service to customers in accordance with ALC's customer service standards. In performing their duties, the Satellite Coordinator is responsible for ensuring sales growth and evaluating profitability in relation to the satellite in accordance with ALC's objectives. They are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the satellite on behalf of the organization, while supporting the achievement of ALC's safety and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Provides customer service: Provides necessary support to customers by ensuring timely processing of all orders. Receives and processes customer orders. Prepares routine quotations and requests for proposals.
Organizes sales and price management activities: Performs all activities necessary to achieve sales and profitability targets for the satellite. Reviews sales reports and exception reports related to low gross profits for network customers, and makes the necessary corrections to prices or modifies stock quantities.
Performs operational and verification activities: In collaboration with the accounts receivable supervisor, ensures that all team members comply with credit policy. Facilitates efforts to collect unpaid balances. Assists in resolving issues related to customer cylinder management and accounts receivable collection.
Coordinates satellite activities: Prepares inventory lists and manages inventory to meet local market demand, taking into account the approved inventory budget. Reviews minimum and maximum restocking reports and communicates changes to the inventory management coordinator. Communicates with the logistics or dispatch team regarding bottle restocking. Ensures the showroom is adequate and that products are properly displayed, and ensures that inventory in the showroom is replenished.
Quality/Safety: Actively participates in promoting ALC's safety objectives.
Process Improvement: Works collaboratively with their team and cross-functional teams to continuously improve work processes.
Required qualifications
Education: Post-secondary degree or combination of high school education and relevant experience in cylinders, welding products, or industrial product marketing
Knowledge: Computer systems, MS Office or Google suite, written and oral communication skills; working knowledge of welding processes and products
