Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Systems (PS) Functional Analyst with strong hands-on expertise in Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to support our contractual business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, enhancing, and supporting SAP PS solutions, ensuring seamless integration with modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PM. This role requires deep functional knowledge of project structuring, cost tracking, budgeting, and project lifecycle management in SAP.


Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and support SAP PS with a focus on WBS elements, project definitions, and project profiles.
  • Develop and optimize project planning structures, budgeting, forecasting, settlements, and cost control processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Work on project scheduling, network activities, milestones, and capacity planning.
  • Integrate SAP PS with FI/CO (settlements, cost planning), MM (procurement), SD (billing), and PM (maintenance projects).
  • Support month-end and year-end activities including cost transfers, CATS, and settlement runs.
  • Create functional documentation: BRDs, FS, test scripts, training material, and SOPs.
  • Lead system testing (Unit, SIT, UAT) and support cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
  • Provide production support and drive continuous improvements in project systems processes.
  • Understand and apply SAP best practices for project lifecycle management and cost transparency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of SAP PS functional experience, with at least 3+ years working deeply with WBS elements.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Structures: Project Definition, WBS, Networks, Activities, Milestones.
  • Experience with budgeting, availability control (AVC), settlement rules, cost/revenue planning, and progress analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP PS integration to FI/CO, MM, SD, and/or PM.
  • Proficiency in writing functional specs, working with ABAP teams, and performing configurations (IMG).
  • Experience in full end-to-end SAP implementation or rollout projects.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related field.

Preferred/Optional:

  • Experience with S/4HANA PS capabilities.
  • Knowledge of CATS, EPPM, or CPM.
  • Experience in construction, utilities, EPC, oil & gas, or manufacturing project environments.
  • SAP certification in Project Systems (a plus).

Pay & Benefits:

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional

opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United

States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related

knowledge, skills, and experience.
