The SAP COE Test Coordinator will act as the bridge between functional/technical teams and business users to ensure that enhancements, patches, and support fixes do not disrupt the live production environment. He/She will liaison between business process owners, functional consultants, and the offshore/onshore technical team. The test coordinator will report into the test lead for the SAP COE Sustain Set up. The role ensures that incidents, enhancements, and transports are properly tested, business processes remain stable, and regression risk is minimized through structured testing and stakeholder alignment.
Main tasks:
1. Test Planning & Coordination - Define and maintain test strategy for SAP Run and Sustain releases (minor releases, patches, emergency fixes). Prepare test plans, test scope, and test cycles for:
Regression testing
Defect fixes
Small enhancements
Monthly / quarterly SAP releases
Coordinate testing across multiple SAP modules and integrated systems.
2. Test Execution Management - Coordinate execution of:
Functional testing
Integration testing
Regression testing
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Run releases
Ensure test cases are prepared, reviewed, and executed as per plan.
Monitor test progress and ensure timely defect resolution.
3. Defect & Quality Management
Ensure defects are:
Logged correctly in ALM / ITSM tools
Prioritized with business and IT
Tracked through to closure
Lead defect triage meetings with functional leads and AMS partners.
Ensure root cause analysis is performed for critical defects.
4. Release & Transport Governance
Work closely with Release Management and Change Management to ensure:
Only tested and approved transports move to production
Proper documentation and sign-off is obtained
Support go/no-go decisions based on test results and risk assessment.
5. Regression & Automation Strategy
Maintain and enhance regression test pack for core business processes.
Support test automation initiatives (where applicable).
Identify high-risk business processes for priority testing.

Qualifications and experience
1) Required training and education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology/Business Information Systems/Information Security or related is required. • Master’s degree in business administration, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
• SAP certifications in service management or architecture are a plus.
2) Required professional experience
8-10+ years of experience as a Test Coordinator or Test Lead in SAP projects, with specific experience in S/4HANA AMS/Support environments.
Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology, ITIL processes, and Agile/Scrum frameworks
Experience in global organizations and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience operating within GBS / Shared Services / COE models
Prior experience managing global, distributed teams
